Message from the executive director:

Welcome to the Dix Hills Jewish Center website. If you are already a member of our beloved Temple you already know all about the wonderful programs and activities that we have here.

If you are not a member let me tell you about just some of the wonderful activities and events that you are missing.

Services are held everyday twice a day (morning and night). Our Friday evening, Shabbat morning services and Yom Tov services (which all are invited to join), are filled with singing and participation by the congregation. Come join Rabbi Buechler and Cantor Bear for these spiritual prayers. If you join us once I believe that you will want to keep returning.

As for some of the other activities that we have here: U.S.Y. Youth group, a wonderful Nursery School for 2-4 year olds that is open to all, our Hebrew School, both our Rabbi and Cantor have weekly classes on many different topics, a Social Action committee that is deeply committed to helping those in need in the immediate community, Adult Education classes, a newly renovated library, a thriving Sisterhood and Men’s Club, and various films that are open to all. This is just a small list of the programs that we offer on a regular basis.
